Susanne uses an eclectic approach in her counselling that encompasses Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and the principles of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). The focus of her counselling sessions is to assist adults and adolescents by empowering them with the ability to face and overcome their existing challenges. Her belief is that the therapist and client "are fellow travelers" (Yalom, 2001). To facilitate the journey she combines therapies that are founded on proven counselling practices and individually adapts the therapy to meet each client's specific needs. Susanne believes that therapy is a journey the therapist and client make together. Susanne is from Sweden and has lived and worked internationally since 1989. She is a well-rounded, cross-cultural experienced counsellor as she has resided in Sweden, India, Norway, the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Australia and Singapore. She feels very privileged to have the opportunity to work with both local and expatriate clients. Susanne is fluent in English, Swedish and Norwegian and can conduct therapy in any of those languages. Susanne also has substantial experience in nursing:
